Saxon - Into the Labyrinth [2009]

Hello,
Lets take a look at the 18th Saxon album, released in 2009.The album has some fast metal tracks like "Battalions of Steel" and "Demon Sweeney Todd" and some Hard Rock tracks like "Live to Rock" and "Slow Lane Blues". The second half of the album is not as good as the first one, except for the last two tracks. The last one, "Coming Home", is a very good acoustic song. The cover art is very beautiful and gets even better on the vinyl size. XD
Thats all I have about the recent Saxon stuff. In the next post maybe I will show some old stuff. Maybe a Savatage album. Dont miss it.

Saxon - Inner Sanctum [2007]

Hi,

Today, lets take a look at Inner Sanctum. This is one of the best Saxon albums in my opinion. And I am not talking about recent Saxon albums. This is one of the best Saxon albums ever. And one of the greatest recent Heavy Metal albums.

The best song of the album is Red Star Falling. A beautiful song about the felt of communism in Eastern Europe. That song is in my top 5 Saxon songs of all time. Just Epic.
Below we have the back cover, the inner sleeve front and back and the full view. A great record, no doubt. Enjoy

Saxon - Lionheart [2004]

I bought this record some weeks ago at Amazon.com. It was at a very good price, so I recommend Amazon to anyone who wants to buy new vinyl at good prices.

Back cover
This album was released in 2004 by SPV . It has a single sleeve and a inner sleeve with the lyrics, no pictures of the band.

A detail that I like in this record is the vinyl label, it has the red cross of the england emblem.

The first song I listened from Lionheart was Searching for Atalantis on a promo video of Wacken Open Air 2007.

The Equipment

Hi.
This blog is a place where I'm gonna show picture of my vinyl records and make the album reviews.

Before we start let me talk about the sound equipment I'm going to use.

The turntable is a Technics SL-D303 with a Leson Lm-80C headshell and a Leson Ag-80 needle.

Technics SL-D303

Attached to the turntable a Gradiente S-96 receiver and finnaly an Audio Technica ATH-M30 Headphone.

They are not a hi-end or audiophile gear, but they are a good equipment with a great performance.

ATH-M30 Headphone

We gonna start with Saxon-Lionheart. Coming Soon.
